HOW TO USE MAKERBOT SUPPORT

At MakerBot, we take pride in oering expert, responsive, friendly customer support to

customers around the world. When you call us or open a case on makerbot.com/support,

there are a few things you can do ahead of time to help us help you.

HAVE YOUR SERIAL NUMBER READY

The serial number helps us to quickly look up your order and get more complete information

on your MakerBot Replicator Z18. The serial number is located on a label on the back of

your MakerBot Replicator above the power input port. Your Smart Extruder also has a serial

number, which can be found by detaching the Smart Extruder from the extruder carriage.

PROVIDE LIFETIME BUILD HOURS

Knowing how long you’ve been using your MakerBot Replicator Z18 helps us keep track of

how our 3D printers are doing. Before you call or open a case, use the control panel on the

MakerBot Replicator Z18 to go to Info > Statistics > Lifetime Build Hours and record the

number of hours listed there.
